All the piano in all its dimensions and all Brahms are on this CD. This is the best music has to offer. Pogorelich’s “tonal range” (an oxymoron since a range is by definition bounded) is unbelievable: from talk to song to murmur to shout to ecstasy … A truly multi-dimensional recording!

The stature of Johannes Brahms among classical composers is well illustrated by his inclusion among the “Three Bs” triumvirate of Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms.
